Buriji is a piece made by textile artist Catherine Lisle. Inspired by nature and geometry, she says of her work, "I seek to create something that feels simultaneously ancient and modern." Using delicate hand stitching, complex designs, and richly dyed mudcloths, she makes pieces that explore the connections and separations between people.
